Orange Curried Pork Chops

Pork chops are a great dish for week nights and family dinners. They cook up quick, easy, and lend themselves to a variety of cooking styles. Curry is a great way to impart full bold flavors into a dish and help create a great evening meal.

Serves 4-6
Full time 30 minutes

You will need:

6 boneless pork chops
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1 cup orange juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp curry powder
1 tsp salt

Let us begin:

In a heavy cast iron pan or heavy duty skillet, melt olive oil and butter over medium high heat.

Carefully add pork chops into heated pan and brown for 10 minutes.

Flip over once half way thru to equally brown on both sides.

Remove excess liquid carefully from pan.

Add in orange juice, brown sugar, curry powder, and salt. Bring to a boil.

Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Cook 8-10 minutes or until cooked to your liking.

Remove chops from pan to a serve dish.

Add orange wedges to liquid and cook 8-10 minutes, or until liquid becomes a syrupy glaze.

Pour over chops and serve immediately, enjoy!
