No appetizer bar is completely without the shrimp platter. Most people love eating shrimp or have at least one shrimp loving family member. If you do then you know cocktail sauce is usually a requested dip. I find store bought cocktail sauce sometimes lacking flavor or overly priced, especially when it is so easy to make with ingredients in your refrigerator. The best part is you can spice it up to your liking!
Full time: 5 minutes
Makes 1 1/2 cup sauce (easily doubles)
You will need:
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup plus 2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 cup horseradish
2 tsp celery salt (or to taste)
2 tsp worchestire sauce
1/2 tsp tabasco sauce (or to taste)
Let us begin:
In a medium bowl mix all ingredients until well blended.
Cover with plastic wrap. Place in refrigerator until ready to use and enjoy!
