I love when I eat out and the most wonderful flavors, amazing aromas, and great looking things to eat make my tastes buds water. Sometimes your lucky enough to try something so tasty, you want to eat it over and over again. Balsamic Butter was something I tried as a evening special at a restaurant and have loved ever since.
This savory yet delicately sweet sauce is the perfect sauce to dress up any pasta dinner. It cooks up in under 10 minutes and makes a great presentation.
Full time: 8-10 minutes
Serves 2 (easily multiples)
You will need:
1/2 cup butter or 1 stick
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Let us begin:
In a sauté pan over medium heat, melt butter.
Continue to cook butter, at one point in time it will foam and bubble up.
When foam subsides, roughly 3 minutes, you will notice a golden brown butter beginning to form.
Lower heat to as low as your range will go.
Whisk in the balsamic vinegar, it will foam and bubble up, but just keep whisking.
Whisk in the salt and pepper.
Check flavor to make sure your seasoning is well balance, adjust salt and pepper if needed.
Serve immoderately. Works perfect for ravioli, agnolotti, fagottini, sacchettini, tortellini, and various smaller stuffed pastas. Enjoy!
